Type 3: Conditional Visa Exempt Entry
Applicants from Indonesia, India, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, or Cambodia may qualify for Conditional Visa Exempt Entry if they meet one of the following conditions: They hold a valid or recently expired (within 10 years) document from the U.S., Canada, U.K., EU/Schengen, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, or Korea**: 1. Resident or permanent resident certificate 2. Valid entry visa (including eVisa) 3. Expired resident certificate or visa (within 10 years) Note: Vietnamese nationals cannot use Japan/Korea documents for TAC. Others using Japan/Korea visas must show entry records. They previously held a Taiwan entry visa or resident certificate (issued in the past 10 years). Exception: Those with visas marked FL (migrant worker), X (others), or P (special permission from MOFA), or resident certificates for migrant workers, are not eligible for TAC. Type 5: e-Code and e-Visa Both Required
Foreign nationals not from the above-mentioned countries must apply for a visa at a Taiwanese diplomatic mission. To avoid obtaining a paper travel document from an embassy or consulate of Taiwan, eligible nationals may choose to apply for an eVisa using an eCode. The scanned copy of 1) your passport, 2) employment certificate, and 3) invitation letter. We will assist in submitting the application for your eCode. The eCode will be sent along in 3 to 5 weeks for you to apply eVisa online.
